In July 2014, I founded Eyewitness Media Hub along with Sam Dubberley and Pete Brown. We had just published our research Amateur Footage: A Global Study of User Generated Content with support from the Tow Center for Digital Journalism, and had made a number of recommendations as part of the research. We wanted to create an organisation that could help newsrooms implement some of the recommendations we suggested. So with some generous seed funding from Storyful, we launched Eyewitness Media Hub.
